I’m knitting the Holger sweater while I watch. It’s my first time knitting a petite knit pattern and I love how it’s turning out.

Those purples and the variegated colourway are to die for!!! How lovely to still have some sunlight in the evening! I know the trade off is very short winter days though. We just had the winter solstice in Australia, looking forward to more daylight hours soon.

I think an ‘old fashioned club’ were you send a letter with your thoughts and ideas for a creative skein, based on that we say yes or no then we get the skein through the post sight unseen etc would be a refreshing change

Great discussion. I found Lindsay on UA-cam years ago and was attracted by her use of colour. As you said, Emma, she puts together colours I would NEVER thing to put in a garment and they come out beautifully. What holds me back from using non-superwash yarns is the "itch" factor. I am afraid to spend the money on the amazing yarn only to find out I can't wear it. I probably need to just bit the bullet and buy some yarn to try. Thanks for a great episode.

I have loved this series, but this one I think is my favourite. Would advocate slow mail and even if you sent out a new year letter with your hopes, dreams and aspirations that would be amazing! It was be a huge commitment otherwise. I think social media is a bug bear for all of us in one way or another, but you’re on the right track, so don’t overthink what you do and enjoy the process.
